JBW Consulting Engineers is a consulting engineering firm with locations in Duluth/Hermantown, MN, Gillette, WY, and Sheridan, WY that provides design and engineering services for clients in the industrial, energy, and infrastructure sectors across North America. We are currently searching for Civil Engineer to join our team in our Gillette, WY office. Primary focal points for this position include the ability to manage civil projects related to industrial facilities, perform site visits, work in CAD software, and complete accurate drawings, calculations, and analysis.

Our work takes us across the nation and is primarily in industrial facilities. We are a young and growing firm that is excited to add the next important piece to our team.
Our work consists of mechanical, structural, civil, and electrical engineering, design, and analysis for Industrial, energy, and infrastructure systems. Most of JBW’s civil engineering projects involve Piping and Pumping Systems, Civil Site Design/Grading, Utility Line and Street Reconstruction, and Design Surveying. . We also provide creative Industrial BIM solutions for our clients on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the core values of Relationships, Communication, and Service as defined by JBW.

  • Must have an entrepreneurial attitude and be willing to tackle different tasks as they arise.

  • Provide Civil Engineering duties related to industrial facilities. These duties vary by project and current workload.

  • Must have the ability to manage civil projects and serve as a support function to mechanical and electrical, and structural projects.

  • Must be willing to work in daily collaboration with other JBW team members, and a variety of industrial clients.

  • Perform site visits safely that range from 1-5 days, sometimes requiring travel (all expenses included). Travel is expected to be less than 20% annually but can vary in the short term based on project needs.

  • Work in CAD software, including but not limited to Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Plant 3D, and Inventor.

  • Complete drawings, calculations, and analysis accurately while following JBW’s quality control methods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Storm and Sanitary Analysis, Esri ArcGIS, or Revit

  • 4-5 years previous experience in Structural Engineering

  • PE license preferred
